Industrial Floodlighting
Industrial floodlighting can be used in architectural applications such as bridges, but products are typically used for larger scale area applications requiring floodlighting optics versus traditional site and area optics. Airport aprons are an excellent example where both uniform vertical and horizontal illumination is essential to the safety of ground personnel and the pilots of the planes as the land and taxi to and from the terminal. Additional consideration is given both to glare control from the luminaire and visual glare in terms of spill light at certain locations as defined. Traditional site and area lighting just does not provide the level of precise control needed. Industrial floodlighting can also be found in storage and railyards, at your local tennis court, or on the crab boats seen on the Deadliest Catch. These products are work horses, designed for function and to withstand the test of time and mother nature of course.
