Tunnel Lighting

Tunnel lighting systems are designed to manage the difference between the exterior ambient light, and the amount of light in the tunnel itself, to facilitate drivers or pedestrians passing through the tunnel without changing speed or direction. In order to avoid accidents caused by drivers reacting to dramatic changes in lighting conditions in road tunnels, lighting levels must be carefully designed to account for all external conditions, thus allowing all persons to adapt to the changing lighting conditions without conscious effort.
